Your privacy

We protect your data with the same commitment we bring to every installation.

At Caixilharia Blanco we understand that the trust our clients place in us is not limited to the quality of our windows, doors and automation systems: it also includes the care with which we handle their personal information. That is why we have drafted this privacy policy in a clear and simple way.

We operate from Alcobaça, Portugal, and we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / EU Regulation 2016/679) as well as Portuguese legislation on personal data protection. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or request our services, how we use it, and what your rights are.

Last updated: April 2026. We reserve the right to update this document when necessary for legal reasons or due to improvements in our services; the current version will always be published on this same page.

PRINCIPLES

How we handle your information

Transparency: we clearly explain what data we collect, for what purpose and how long we keep it. We will never use your information for purposes not previously communicated or in ways you would not expect.

Security: we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. Only authorised personnel within our company have access to your information.

Control: you retain control over your personal information. At any time you may access, correct, port or request the deletion of your data by writing to our contact address.

DATA

What information we collect

We collect only the information strictly necessary to provide our PVC joinery, quotation and installation services:

Contact details: first name, surname, address, phone number and email that you voluntarily provide when requesting a quote, hiring an installation, booking a technical visit or sending us a query through the contact form.

Project or job details: installation address, measurements, property features, references of requested products (windows, doors, blinds, Somfy motorisations, CAME/FAAC gates, etc.) and photographs you share with us so we can prepare an accurate quote.

Billing details: NIF or NIPC, tax address and payment method, when we formalise a contract or issue an invoice. These details are kept for the legally required retention periods in Portugal.

Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent, collected through technical and analytical cookies. You can manage these cookies from your browser at any time.

PURPOSES

How we use your information

We process your personal data on the basis of the following purposes and legal grounds:

Contract performance: preparing quotes, scheduling technical visits, manufacturing your made-to-measure Salamander windows and doors, coordinating installation and providing after-sales service.

Compliance with legal obligations: issuing invoices, declaring income, keeping accounting records and responding to requests from the Portuguese authorities when legally required.

Legitimate interest: improving the quality of our website, analysing visitor behaviour in aggregate form, preventing fraud and handling complaints.

Commercial communication with consent: if you expressly authorise us, we may send you information about new products, seasonal promotions or industry news. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

THIRD PARTIES

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or transfer your information to third parties for commercial purposes. We only share the strictly necessary data with the following recipients:

Service providers: transport companies that deliver your order, payment gateways, messaging platforms to confirm appointments, web hosting providers and email tools. All of them act as data processors and are bound by confidentiality agreements.

Competent authorities: when there is a legal obligation (Tax Authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, courts or other official bodies).

Technical partners: only when essential for manufacturing or installation (for example, certification with partners such as Salamander or Somfy), always limiting the information to the minimum necessary.
